The proposed ecological housing to be located on the southern edge of Salzburg requires special consideration of the landscape. The challenging brief calls for maximising density, a compact structure, and careful approach to the tapering city, and necessitates a split between density and qualitative living space.
The green horizon with panorama views:
The views of the spectacular mountainous panorama are decisive for the residents of Sonnenpark. With the green horizon one sees the shift of a spatial strategy to a structurally determined image. Each flat has a panorama view. The elite location on this particular city edge is taken into account and the common green spaces maintain a connection to the spectacular surroundings.
Active and differentiated landscape:
The in-between spaces - which often remain undefined and leftover- offer a chance. Through active and differentiated landscape strategies, these in-between spaces emerge as attractors to the development.
