Three systematic buildings offer variation in volume, floor plans, and landscape, without increasing costs. The buildings, which are situated on top of a slightly raised parking garage, open dynamic views and perspectives to the surrounding mountains while taking into account the adjacent residential buildings. The northern facades offer fewer perforations to minimize energy costs and to maximize privacy to the adjacent northern residential buildings, while allowing for new private green spaces to the south.
The southern façade is structured via a system of balconies: the exterior skin of the building is constructed from horizontal larch planks which bend around the building creating a series of protected exterior spaces between façade and balcony which merge with each other.
Each flat is accorded a private outdoor space in form of a terrace or balcony. The raised ground floor offers additional privacy from the semi-public zones, without creating sharp edges in the topography, which remains soft and flowing.
